Bomb Blast in Bangalore Explosive Found on Passenger Plane in Bangalore

Posted by celebrityphotosnews on March 22, 2010

It Seems as things are not turning up fine for Bangalore.

An suspected explosive device was found on a passenger plane at the Trivandrum International Airport in Kerala on Sunday which sparked a bomb scare.

The explosive, about the size of a cricket ball, was found in the cargo section of the Bangalore-Trivandrum Kingfisher flight after examining an unclaimed bag on its arrival here around 8am, city police commissioner Ajith Kumar said.

It was found during a security check after the passengers disembarked. The aircraft was immediately moved to the isolation bay at the airport and a thorough check was carried out by security agencies and the police.

The explosive was wrapped in a Malayalam newspaper of January 13 and a question paper of the Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination held on March 15. This led to the suspicion that the explosive was placed in the aircraft at the airport here.

As expected, after this incident security has been tightened at the Trivandrum International Airport as no bosy in Kerala would like to see again what happened at two bus stations at Calicut in 2006.

Another incident of same kind which took place today on magadi road, Bangalore where there was a blast occurred killing 2 people by industrial gelatine sticks being carried on a two-wheeler.

Police said these explosives were for industrial use and there was no terrorist attack which brings the sigh of relief to the people of Bangalore.
